Kampas
What guides us
The will to change is not always a guarantee that one will be able to change. In Greek, Kampas means compass and guiding to change is our mission. We seek to assist individuals, teams, organizations and family business to recognize the need to change and navigate throughout this process.
We are consultants who focus on organizational development offering customized interventions to people and organizations that are undergoing a changing process imposed either by individual, organizational or/and market challenges.
We know that change does not often consist of overcoming resistance towards the new. It consists of the difficulty to know how to carry out the desired change. It happens because in order to be able to change, it is necessary to:
- Recognize the need for change and identify conscious and unconscious aspects that may promote or hinder such change.
- Find enough motivation to overcome the challenges and the anxiety that arise as a result of any process of change.
- Invest time and energy to implement the desired changes on a daily basis.
At Kampas, we understand that, in order for change to be sustainable, it should not be faced as a one-off situation, but as a transition process. This process consists of three sequential and overlapping phases:
- Letting go of the known past (e.g.: values, plans, thoughts, behavior, relationship network, roles, self-image, strategies and organizational structures). This phase is characterized by the loss of the known.
- Tolerating the present in which both the old and the new co-inhabit simultaneously. This phase is characterized by haziness in terms of the future – which generates insecurity and anxiety.
- Internalizing the future, acquiring clarity about the new reality and its perspectives and about the necessary attitudes for long-term sustainable change.
